Description
Using the nursing process, provides clinically competent care to patients that achieves expected outcomes and integrates care across the continuum. Works as part of a multidisciplinary team performing diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures for all body regions, with all associated patient care. Department combines the functions of the Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology and Interventional Neurology; supporting the cardiologists, radiologists, vascular surgeons, neurointerventionalists.
Education: Graduate from an approved Registered Professional Nursing program.
Work Experience: RN experience in Critical Care preferred; 6 months cardiac telemetry experience required License/Certification: Current IL RN licensure by the IL Dept of Professional Regulation (IDPR); Current CPR certification; Required within 6 months of hire date: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Required within 1yr of hire date: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Required within 1yr of hire date: National Institute Healthcare Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
