Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage for a hybrid role in both Freestanding Emergency Departments (FSED) and Main Emergency Departments. This opportunity offers a flexible and rewarding practice environment with a balance of patient care settings and a supportive team, led by an experienced site director.

Position Overview:

• Position: Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician


• Patient Volume: 8,000 annual visits, with 10% pediatric cases

  • 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage

Qualifications:

• Board Certification:
  
  
  
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO)
  
  
  • Must be residency trained in Emergency Medicine
  
  
  
  


• Certifications:
  
  
  
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
  
  
  
  


• Skills:
  
  
  
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  
  
  • Proficient in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
  
  
  • Ability to make sound, timely decisions in high-pressure environments

• Deliver high-quality emergency care across both FSED and Main ED settings, addressing a wide range of medical conditions


• Manage pediatric patients in a dedicated exam room and handle acute cases with precision and care


• Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring efficient patient flow and high standards of care


• Maintain clear and thorough communication with medical staff and patients, ensuring informed decision-making and quality outcomes


• Provide compassionate and focused care to pediatric and adult patients alike, emphasizing swift intervention and stabilization
