• Provide 24-hour call coverage (7a–7a) and respond to emergent surgical consults/cases.
• Perform standard general surgery and trauma-related procedures as needed.
• Manage inpatient surgical patients, including consults, admissions, and post-op care.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the Epic EMR.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure continuity of care and safe transitions.
• Complete required onboarding, credentialing steps, and assigned EMR training within deadlines.

Skills

• MD/DO in General Surgery.
• Board Certified in General Surgery or truly Board Eligible (within 0–5 years of residency completion).
• Active Colorado medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) in hand at time of submission.
• Active ATLS (required).
• Active DEA (required; must maintain for the duration of the assignment if transferred).
• Clean background/MP (self-inquiry NPDB report preferred if available).
• Must be available for the specific dates listed and able to disclose ongoing monthly availability.
• Willing to comply with travel/lodging requirements (preferred hotel when available) and complete EMR training requirements.
