We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Cath Lab team, where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and advancements in interventional cardiology. Required Skills:
- Valid RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, with at least 1 year in Cath Lab within the last year
- Ability to perform multiple functions: circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring in cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures
- Experience with vasoactive drug administration, sedation, sterile technique, and critical patient assessment
- Proficiency with Impella, Rotoblater, IABP, Pnumbra, Laser, lithotripsy atherectomy, and other interventional tools
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability to handle complex cases and emergencies
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring (Merge systems, VAD, Impella, ECCMO, pacers)
- Familiarity with operating Philips imaging systems, IVUS, EKOS, FFR, and ancillary equipment
- Prior exposure to hybrid procedures such as TAVR and MitraClip procedures
- Comfort with scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cases
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of recent cath lab experience in a hospital setting
- Certifications in ARRT and state licensure for X-ray Techs (LSRBTE) preferred; RCIS is a plus but not mandatory
- Experience supporting complex cardiovascular and peripheral vascular interventions
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license for floating between multiple facilities in Shreveport and Bossier City, LA
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overnight call shifts (approximately every 3rd weekend)
- Willingness to float between facilities for patient coverage, with some procedures at the Innovation Center
- Orientation will include a one-week training at the Innovation Center and potentially additional precepting
