What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a specialty area such as pulmonary, thoracic, or step-down units
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Optional but preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage complex medical conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work efficiently in high-pressure situations
Additional Skills That Help You Stand Out:
- Experience with high risk respiratory support such as BIPAP, Optiflow, or related devices
- Knowledge of hepatobiliary, head/neck, or cardiac thoracic surgeries
- Fluency in additional languages or certifications relevant to patient care
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- At least 2 years of recent experience in intermediate or step-down care units
- Prior experience working with patients requiring advanced respiratory support or post-surgical care
Other Requirements:
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
- Availability to work a 12-hour shift schedule from 7pm to 7am, with flexibility as needed
- Willingness to commit to 12-week assignments with potential for extension
- Licensure, certification, travel reimbursements, and other incentives provided as applicable
