Join Our Team as a Temp Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in Long Term Care – Lewistown, MO!

What You Will Do:
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders following all regulatory and clinical standards.
- Develop and implement tailored plans of care using evidence-based assessments.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care and counseling.
- Document all services thoroughly in electronic health records, maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous professional development activities.
- Support and supervise CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed.
- Adhere strictly to ASHA and State licensure requirements, ethics, and practice acts.
Required Skills:
- Valid state license and active ASHA certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Proven experience in evaluating and treating communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and familiarity with evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork and patient care.
- Ability to document treatments accurately and comprehensively.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in long-term care or similar healthcare environments.
- Supervisory experience supporting CFYs or students.
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) procurement and supplies management.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Prior experience in a long-term care setting is advantageous.
- Current state licensure and ASHA certification.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to start work on or around June 15, 2026.
- Ability to work in Lewistown, MO, or remotely with proper arrangements when applicable.
- Must meet all regulatory requirements, including appropriate documentation and timely reporting.
