What You’ll Do:
As a Physical Therapist in this role, you'll evaluate and treat patients with physical functioning disorders, including wound care and rehabilitation needs. You will develop and implement personalized care plans, utilizing evidence-based assessments and therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and assistive device training. Your role involves monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed, and providing consultations to patients, families, and caregivers. Effective documentation, collaboration with healthcare team members, and adherence to regulatory standards are essential components of your daily responsibilities. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes and ensure compliance with all clinical and legal requirements.
Required Skills:
- Valid State Physical Therapy License
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, wound care, and patient assessment tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience supervising PTA’s, aides, or students
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical practice standards
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Prior experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Familiarity with DME and supplies procurement processes
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel to multiple facilities if required
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training, in-services, and team meetings
- Commitment to adhering to APTA standards, ethics, and professional conduct
