What You’ll Do:
As a Physical Therapist in this role, you'll evaluate, rehabilitate, and develop personalized care plans for patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care needs. You'll utilize evidence-based assessments and techniques, administer treatments such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and wound care, and monitor patient progress to optimize outcomes. Your expertise will help improve mobility, manage wounds, and support patients’ return to functional independence. You'll collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare team members, provide counseling, and ensure comprehensive documentation aligned with regulatory standards. Your leadership will extend to supervising assistants and students, all while adhering to professional practice acts and ethical guidelines.
Required Skills:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Strong clinical assessment and rehabilitation skills
- Proficiency in wound care, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and use of assistive devices
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to document accurately and maintain detailed patient records
- Knowledge of regulatory and clinical practice standards
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in long-term care or rehab facilities
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Additional certifications such as CPR, Medicare, or specific wound care training
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Prior experience working in LTC or rehabilitation settings is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work daytime hours in Purcell, OK
- Certification related to DME or wound care (if applicable)
- Willingness to participate in training and team meetings
- Compliance with all state, federal, and local licensing requirements
