Required Skills:
- Valid Michigan state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Proficiency in patient assessment, treatment planning, and intervention strategies
- Strong understanding of orthopedic, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular conditions
- Ability to work independently and effectively delegate responsibilities to assistants and aides
- Excellent communication skills for patient and family education
- Ability to evaluate and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and response
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings
- Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic health records
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
- Prior experience coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Minimum of 1-2 years of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred
- Current CPR certification and state licensure in good standing
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel locally as needed within Alpena
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development
- Certification in modalities or specialized therapy techniques is a plus
