What You'll Bring to the Role:
- Excellent clinical assessment skills to evaluate physical, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.
- Ability to develop and implement goal-oriented treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.
- Strong communication skills to educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions and treatments.
- Supervisory experience working with Occupational Therapist Assistants, aides, and students.
- Attention to detail in documentation and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary care effectively.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a rehab setting or with specific patient populations.
- Knowledge of current occupational therapy best practices and innovations.
- Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license/certification in Michigan (or eligible for licensure).
- Prior experience in a similar rehab setting is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work daytime hours with flexibility as needed.
- Willingness to adhere to all healthcare regulations and safety protocols.
- Availability to start on June 1, 2026, for this temporary assignment.
- Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in ongoing training.
