Required Skills:
- Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (CPTA or equivalent)
- Proven experience assisting with physical therapy treatments in a long-term care setting
- Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and instructions from Physical Therapists
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with patients and their families
- Excellent organizational skills for managing patient records and administrative tasks
- Ability to safely assist patients with mobility and exercise routines
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized treatment environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with balance training and mobility techniques
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
- Additional certifications such as CPR or First Aid
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or related healthcare field
- Prior experience in a long-term care or senior care environment
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on PTA experience preferred
Other Requirements:
- Valid licensure and/or certification to practice as a PTA in Washington State
- Ability to work day shifts and adapt to a flexible schedule
- Reliable transportation to travel within the Renton area if needed
- Compliant with all healthcare regulations and facility policies
