Description
Our client in Missouri is actively seeking an Obstetrician/Gynecologist Physician to embark on a 120-day assignment starting Aug 3, 2026. This challenging role involves providing comprehensive care to pregnant patients up to six weeks postpartum, performing a wide array of obstetric and gynecological procedures, and working dedicated 12-hour shifts within a Trauma facility. The physician will manage diverse cases in a fast-paced OB/ED environment, supported by a skilled team.
Responsibilities and Duties - Manage low and high-risk pregnancies through all stages, including up to 6 weeks postpartum.
- Perform FHR interpretation, NST/CST/FSE, and OB Ultrasounds (Level I/Screening viability and Level II/Targeted anatomic).
- Conduct amniocentesis and routine deliveries, including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for c-sections.
- Handle complicated deliveries such as c-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs.
- Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.
- Perform laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures including tubal ligation, LOAs, and chronal tubation.
- Evaluate 40-60 patients daily in a 12-bed OB/ED, addressing labor symptoms, vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, high blood pressure/preeclampsia concerns, decreased fetal movement, and ruptured membranes.
- Collaborate with APP, sonographer, and tech support available for significant daily hours.
