PACU Registered Nurse
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (08:00 - 20:30)
Hourly Pay Rate: $53.60
Job Description:
Support patients across all major surgical services in a dynamic PACU environment. This role involves providing pre/post-operative care to pediatric and adult patients in a high-volume surgical setting with 34 ORs across two floors. Experience with pediatric PACU and post-op care is preferred. Candidates must be comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed and prepared to care for patients of all ages in both pre-op and recovery phases.
You may be assigned to an "Emergency Team" during certain assignments, requiring flexibility to stay at the facility during emergencies. Specific details regarding pay during emergency events will be communicated as impacts vary. By accepting this position, you agree to report as directed by your unit manager in emergency situations.
Unit Details:
- Regional anesthesia and ECT support
- Provides care in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery
- High-acuity pediatric patients in a busy surgical environment
- Departments include endoscopy, interventional radiology, pulmonary lab
Equipment & Supports:
- Hoyer lift
- Bladder scanner
- Accuvein
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Scheduled Weekends: 2-3 per contract
Certifications Required:
Experience Required:
- PACU or Pre/Post Op experience
- Epic EMR system experience
