Position and Responsibilities
As our company grows, we need people and processes who can grow with us. This fast-paced 40 hours per week position is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented motivated self-starter who is eager to use their talents within our Training and Consulting department. The ideal candidate
will serve as the subject matter expert of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (EDI) and have knowledge of best practices in the industry.
Specific Tasks
The DEI Specialist will be responsible for facilitating and creating content for workshops, advising on EDI-related topics, and gathering data for DEI Assessments. The specific tasks will be dependent on the project and the client’s needs. A typical client engagement may include internal and external meetings, prepping for a training, content development, facilitating a workshop, collecting data for an DEI assessment, corresponding with our team, and collaborating with other team members as needed for various projects.
The ideal candidate would communicate effectively with our clients and internal team members. They would also initiate positive change, value differences, and value varying stages of organizational readiness to implement change while connecting with our clients.
Key Performance Indicators
Facilitate and create content for workshops on specific topics such as allyship, emotional intelligence, microaggressions, unconscious bias, self-care, etc.
Facilitate workshops where tough conversations and uncomfortable situations must be managed while creating a deeper understanding of the subject matter
Lead focus groups and interviews during DEI Assessments
Advise on questionnaires used during DEI Assessments
Establish an inclusive environment during each workshop or client engagement by demonstrating an understanding of the diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of our clients
Model behaviors such as problem-solving and grace that encourage learners to implement the tools introduced
Comfortable communicating clearly and respectfully, even during difficult conversations, and addresses differences in a forthright manner during various client interactions

Skills

Education and Experience
Required Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or Organizational Development
2 years of facilitation experience
2 years of experience working in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion industry
2 years of consulting experience


Notes

This is a 40 hour/week, full-time, salaried position with taxes withheld. The compensation starts at $60,000 - $70,000/year depending on experience. Payroll is conducted biweekly on Fridays.
