We are seeking two skilled Psychiatry Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity near Milpitas, CA. Position Overview:

Specialty: Psychiatry (Inpatient)

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: Ongoing, through February 7, 2025 (potentially longer)

Shift Details:
- Weekday Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekend Coverage: 1 weekend per month, rounding only from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday
- No Overnight Call

Work Details:

Patient Demographics:
- Age Group: Adults 18+ (No pediatric patients)
- Patients Per Shift: Up to 14 on weekdays
- Bed Count: 67 inpatient beds
- Rounding: Required on assigned patients
- Practice Setting: Inpatient behavioral health department
- EMR System: Cerner

Requirements:

Board Certification: Must be board certified in Psychiatry

Licensing:
- State License: Active California medical license required
- Temporary Privileges: Available if needed

Certifications:
- BLS: Required

Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated at 60 days

Hospital Privileges: Not required, but admissions are part of the role

Additional Information:

Holidays Observed: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Backup Coverage: No overnight call duties, only weekend rounding as needed

Stroke Certification: The facility is stroke certified
