We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position near Ashland, OH. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team in a busy emergency department with flexible scheduling options.

Position Overview:

Shift Details:
- Standard Shifts: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Coverage Needed: Equivalent to 5 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) initially
- Minimum Shifts: 4 shifts per month

Work Details:

Job Requirements:
- State License: Active Ohio license required (or IMLC)
- Board Certifications:
  - Board Certification in Emergency Medicine preferred
  - ABEM, AOBEM, ABIM, ABFM accepted; ABPS not accepted
- Certifications:
  - ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  - NIHSS certification (no older than 2 years) required
- Residency Trained Requirements:
  - Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine

Staffing Model:
- 4 physician shifts daily
- 3 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) shifts daily

- Percentage of Admitted Patients: 30%
- Trauma Level Designation: Level III
- ED Beds & Fast Track Beds: 39

- 24/7 in-house intensivist, hospitalist, and trauma services
- Mid-level provider responding to trauma activations
- Comprehensive specialty services including cardiology, trauma surgery, bariatrics, general surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, palliative care, and interventional pain medicine
- Second busiest Cath Lab with excellent interventional cardiology support
- Open heart surgery program with on-call cardiac surgery

- Proof of active IMLC or Ohio license required
