Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician (Near Sebring, FL)

Are you a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Sebring, FL? We're looking for skilled and experienced physicians to join our team and provide high-quality care to patients experiencing acute medical emergencies. This is a locum tenens position with a 3-month contract (with the possibility to extend) and offers a dynamic work environment.

What We Offer:

• Community Focus & Advanced Care: Practice medicine in a thriving community while providing high-quality emergency care. We see approximately 25,000 patients annually in our well-equipped, fully integrated Emergency Department.


• Efficient Care Delivery: Our 11-bed ED features readily available on-site CT, X-ray, and laboratory services to facilitate efficient patient diagnosis and treatment.


• 24/7 Coverage & Supportive Environment: Our Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with physician coverage around the clock. Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including Advanced Practice Providers, to provide comprehensive care.


• Flexible Physician Eligibility: We welcome applications from Board-certified/eligible Emergency Medicine physicians (MD or DO) as well as Board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with demonstrably relevant emergency medicine experience.


• Compensation & Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package with comprehensive benefits (details provided during the interview) and may cover your travel expenses (flight, rental car/mileage, and lodging) depending on circumstances.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) preferred (or Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with demonstrably relevant emergency medicine experience)


• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients and families in stressful situations


• Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies


• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills


• Clean background check and no malpractice history
