Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician (Near Smiley, TX)

Are you a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Smiley, TX? We're looking for a skilled and experienced physician to join our team and provide high-quality care to patients experiencing acute medical emergencies. This is a locum tenens position with a 3-month contract (with the possibility to extend) and offers a dynamic work environment.

What We Offer:

• Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a dynamic setting with a high patient volume (approximately 23,360 patients annually). You'll have access to 12 well-equipped treatment rooms to provide timely care.


• 24/7 Coverage: Our Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Physician coverage is split into 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM & 7 PM - 7 AM) ensuring continuous patient care.


• Supportive Team: Collaborate with a team of experienced Advanced Practice Providers who provide additional support for 12 hours daily.


• Technology: Utilize the efficient MediTech EMR system for streamlined patient documentation and record keeping.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO) and Emergency Medicine residency training required


• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients and families in stressful situations


• Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies, including critical care scenarios


• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills


• Clean background check and no malpractice history
