About the Opportunity

We are actively seeking a highly motivated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team on a locum tenens basis. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. Working alongside a dedicated team of nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals, you'll ensure timely and effective interventions for every patient who enters our doors.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments.


• Make critical diagnoses and treatment decisions in fast-paced situations.


• Perform essential emergency procedures, including but not limited to suturing, laceration repair, and airway management.


• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide treatment plans.


• Prescribe medications and manage patient care plans effectively.


• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team in high-stress situations.


• Document medical records accurately and thoroughly to ensure clear communication for all healthcare providers involved.

Who You Are

• Board certified in Emergency Medicine (BC/EM).


• Active Missouri medical license is mandatory.


• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine is preferred.


• You possess strong clinical skills and experience managing a diverse range of medical emergencies.


• Excellent decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential for making critical decisions under pressure.


• You have exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.


• The ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team is a must in this fast-paced environment.
