Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Physician Opportunity Near BRONX, NY


Job Summary:


We are actively seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician to join our healthcare team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care in the Bronx, NY area.


Responsibilities:



  • Comprehensive Primary Care:

    • Provide a full scope of primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.



  • Patient Evaluation:

    • Review patient’s history and perform physical examinations.

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.

    • Refer patients to specialists as needed.



  • Clinical Diagnostics:

    • Provide quality clinical diagnostic skills in the delivery of patient care.

    • Review all test results and recommend suitable management for the patient, including preventive health recommendations and habits.



  • Prescription and Management:

    • Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.



  • Relationship-Centered Care:

    • Provide relationship-centered care, considering the patient’s psychosocial and physical needs.



  • Documentation and Communication:

    • Collect and record patient information, maintaining complete and accurate medical records.

    • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure the total delivery of quality care.



  • Education and Collaboration:

    • Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.




Qualifications:



  • Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent.

  • Residency: Completion of a three-year postgraduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine and/or Family Medicine.

  • Experience: Open to both experienced and newly trained providers.

  • Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

  • Licensure: Must possess a current, unrestricted New York State license or be eligible for licensure.

  • Registration: Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.

  • Enrollment: Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.

  • Certification: BLS or ACLS strongly preferred.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Technology Comfort: Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office.


Medical Office Hours of Operation:



  • Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
