The Telemetry Clinical Director is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the Hospital Mission, Vision, and Facility goals. The Acute Surgical Manager identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers and the services we provide. This position established effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Clinical Director identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The department director works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals

Job Duties

Management of all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision and facility goals

Financial management of the units

Educational learning and management for staff

Perform in a leadership role to service line, facility and community

Promotion of customer service and continuum of care in the specialty area of Telemetry

Inter-department coordination with human resources, ethics, performance improvement, equipment & supply management

Develop and promote relationships with the physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors

Primary change agent

Recruitment & retention

Compliance with regulatory agencies

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required; Master's Degree in nursing or related desired.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Current Texas state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Current BLS, ACLS required

Experience/ Skills:

Five years management experience to include management of personnel, payroll, budgets, capital, business planning, marketing and physician relations

Must have expertise in the specific specialty providing leadership / management oversight.

Organizational and time management skills required..

Independent Employee – self-starter.

Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
