Director of Surgical Services- FT -Days ($12,000 Bonus)

Job Description:
The Director is accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care provided by the Surgical Services units on a 24-hour basis. The Director is accountable for effective strategic planning, personnel management, financial management, and operational compliance with regulatory guidelines as they apply to the assigned unit to accomplish Nursing Service goals. The Director is responsible for the OR, PACU, Endoscopy, Day Surgery Unit, Anesthesia Support, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Heartburn Treatment Center, and Sterile Processing.

Job Requirements:
* Three or more years'nursing experience in the O.R. with Surgery Charge Nurse responsibility
* National certifications in specialty preferred

License/Certifications:
License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
BLS required (current at time of hire)/maintained throughout term of employment
ACLS preferred
PALS preferred
Previous Cardiac/Telemetry experience preferred
EKG Course preferred
