Anchorage, Alaska: We invite a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a leading behavioral health facility as a Hospitalist providing medical support for inpatient psychiatric patients. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-based environment addressing both medical and mental health needs in a structured inpatient setting.This 74-bed behavioral health facility provides comprehensive programs for children, adolescents, and adults facing psychiatric and substance use challenges. The organization also offers specialized programs supporting First Responders, Service Members, Veterans, and their families. You will work alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to deliver integrated care to a diverse patient population. Position Highlights • Hospitalist role focused on medical admissions and coverage in a behavioral health setting • Conduct initial history & physicals within 24 hours of admission • Provide follow-up care, diagnostics, and discharge planning • Co-manage patients with complex medical and psychiatric conditions • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary behavioral health teams • Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatment plans • Full-time schedule with 7-on/7-off block structure • 10-hour shifts offering strong work-life balance Qualified Candidates • Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant • Inpatient or acute care experience preferred • Behavioral health experience is a plus • NEW GRADS with strong clinical training and interest in behavioral health encouraged to apply Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary based on experience • Full benefits package • Stable, structured schedule with predictable time off Anchorage is Alaska’s largest city, offering a unique combination of modern amenities and unmatched natural beauty.
