Job Title: PCU Registered Nurse
Shift Length: 12 hours
Shift Schedule: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Start Date: 07/13/2026
Hourly Pay Rate: $59.18
Number of Openings: 1
Key Responsibilities:
- Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) units and Psychiatry Care Units (PCU) as needed.
- Ensure staff safety within a secure corrections environment.
- Manage patient care for individuals with active oncology diagnoses, including solid tumors and hematology, as well as patients admitted for other medical conditions.
- Utilize EPIC charting system accurately and efficiently.
- Administer medications using Pyxis medication system; perform IV therapy and phlebotomy procedures.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage cardiac drips, and respond to emergencies.
- Support patients with respiratory needs, including external CPAP/BIPAP and ABG interpretation.
- Assist with pre/post hemodialysis, feeding tube care, and management of complex medical conditions.
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
Special Procedures/Unit Details:
- Corrections unit under Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC).
- Locked unit with controlled access.
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:3 in PCU, 1:4-5 in MS.
- Staff may be assigned to either MS or PCU shifts.
- Some shifts may include weekend work; scheduling reviewed every 4 weeks.

- Medication System: Pyxis
- Documentation System: EPIC
