Job Title: Registered Nurse - PICU
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have experience with critically ill pediatric patients and hold current certifications including BLS, NRP, and NIHSS. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, which may increase to 1:4 based on acuity levels. Support staff on the unit includes charge nurses, resource nurses, RTs, Nurse Practitioners, PTs, OTs, and CRNAs. The unit features bedside telemetry monitoring, EMR system Meditech Expanse, IV pumps Alaris, and medication dispensing via Pyxis.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 NICU or higher experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, NIHSS
- Ability to work with pediatric critical care patients
- Stable health status preferred
Schedule & Staffing:
- Start Date: June 29, 2026
- Scheduling includes weekend rotation every other week
- On-call requirement: 2 times per month
- Holidays: Half of the major holidays
- Orientation: Facility orientation followed by 2 days on the unit
- No floating to other units permitted
- Time off approval needed from manager
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $64.99
