Observation Unit Census: 2–3 patients per shift
ED Census: ~26 patients/day; ~9,500/year
Documentation System: Epic
Coverage Model: Single provider; works under ED physician supervision

Board Certification: Required
Licensure: Active NY license – Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS – Required
DEA (NY): Required
Availability: Must be available for August 4–8 and ongoing monthly blocks
Experience: New grads accepted; rural experience not required for this role

Primary Focus: Rounding in the Observation Unit
Secondary Role: Assisting in the ED with lower acuity patients under supervision
Supervision: ED physician always present
