We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens assignment near San Gabriel, California. This is a full-time opportunity at a primary care clinic that provides outpatient care to patients of all ages. The position starts in early December 2024 and runs for a 13-week contract, with the possibility of extension.

Position Details:

• Location: Near San Gabriel, CA


• Start Date: December 2, 2024 (or December 9, 2024)


• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


• Patient Contact Time: 7 hours per day, with 1 hour for administrative work


• Patient Census: 18-20 patients per day


• Coverage Type: No call, no weekends


• Contract Length: 3+ months (13 weeks), with the possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients


• Perform common outpatient primary care procedures (e.g., skin biopsies, laceration repair, cyst removal)


• Utilize Epic EMR for charting and documentation


• Deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with a supportive medical team including medical assistants and front office staff

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Family Medicine preferred but not required


• Licensure: Must hold an active California medical license in good standing


• DEA License: Required


• Certifications: BLS/ACLS required


• Experience: Minimum of 6 months recent outpatient primary care experience; must be familiar with California medical regulations


• EMR Experience: Epic experience strongly preferred


• Vaccination Requirements: COVID-19 and flu vaccines not mandatory, but recommended
