Locum Tenens Urologist Opportunity Near Minot, ND

We are currently seeking a Urologist for a locum tenens position near Minot, ND. This opportunity involves providing comprehensive urology services in both a clinic and call setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with TRUS biopsies and cystoscopies and should be comfortable working with a team of RNs and LPNs in a dynamic environment.

Practice Setting:

Setting: Both clinic and hospital

Clinic Environment: The clinic is located within the hospital, ensuring close collaboration with other departments.

Support Staff:
- 2 Registered Nurses (RNs)
- 1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinic Duties:
- Manage an average of 1-3 patients daily
- Perform 5 in-clinic procedures per day
- Handle up to 30 scheduled patients daily

Call Duties:
- Provide weekend call coverage on a rotational basis
- Respond to emergent surgical needs
- Manage 1-3 stone cases as needed

Procedures:
- Perform TRUS biopsies of the prostate
- Conduct cystoscopies and dilation procedures

Surgeries:
- Primarily focus on emergent cases
- Typically handle 4 scheduled surgeries on designated surgery days

Requirements:

Certification:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

State License: Active North Dakota state license required

EMR: Experience with EPIC is preferred

Experience:
- Proven ability to perform prostate biopsies with an RN
- Proficiency in cystoscopy without an ultrasound tech on site

Additional Information:

Reason for Coverage: This coverage is needed due to the absence of a permanent provider on staff.

Robotics: Robotics experience is not required for this position.
