Locum Tenens: Hematology and Oncology Physician

We are seeking a board-certified Hematology and Oncology Physician for a locum tenens position near Philadelphia, PA. This opportunity offers a flexible full-time schedule in an outpatient setting. You’ll be joining a team dedicated to delivering high-quality care to patients facing cancer and blood disorders. The role includes patient consultations, treatments, and occasional call coverage.

Position Overview:

• Position Type: Locum Tenens


• Start Date: ASAP


• End Date: Ongoing (with a minimum 6-month commitment required)


• Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM


• Practice Setting: Outpatient


• Call Coverage: 1 day per week, with two weekends of call over a 3-month period

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert consultation and treatment for patients with hematological and oncological conditions


• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for patients


• Handle a patient volume of 10-20 per shift


• Participate in call coverage 1 day per week and specified weekends as needed


• Use the Epic EMR system to maintain accurate and timely patient records

Qualifications:

• Board Certification: Required (Hematology and Oncology)


• License: Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical license
