Neurohospitalist Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Petersburg, VA

We are seeking a board-certified Neurohospitalist for a locum tenens opportunity near Petersburg, VA. Shift Description:
- Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

On Call Requirements:
- 7 on/7 off call rotation
- 24 hours to see a consult
- No code stroke response; neuro emergencies are handled via teleneurology

Coverage Type: Inpatient neuro consult service

Patient Population:
- Adult, ED, Medicine
- Average Number of Patients Per Day: 15

Areas of Rounding: ED, ICU, and 6 other areas

APP Support: One APP available Monday through Friday

Documentation System/EMR: EPIC

Practice Setting: Inpatient

Reason for Coverage: MD resignation

Dates of Coverage: ASAP - Ongoing

No Response to In-House Codes: Neuro emergencies are handled via teleneurology

No Other Neurohospitalists: You will be the sole neurohospitalist during the locum’s coverage

Locum Responsibilities:
- You will not be responsible for supervising other healthcare providers
- Focus on providing top-tier neurohospitalist care to a diverse adult patient population

Certification Requirements:

Board Certified: Required

ACLS/BLS: Required

State License: Virginia (willingness to obtain is acceptable)
