A healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician for inpatient rehabilitation coverage. This assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule, inpatient rehabilitation practice, and support from a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation:

Regular: $230/hr
Night Call: $390/shift
Call Back: $270/hr

Coverage Dates:

Providers must be available for the following coverage blocks:

June 29 – July 3
July 6 – July 10
July 13 – July 17
July 20 – July 24
July 27 – July 31

Additional opportunities may be available in August and September.

Schedule
Monday through Friday
8-hour daytime shifts
Occasional night beeper call after scheduled shifts
Potential weekend coverage consisting of daytime onsite coverage plus night call
Practice Setting
Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital
Acute Rehabilitation Unit
Epic EMR
Clinical Responsibilities
New patient admissions
Daily inpatient rounding
Patient discharges
Care coordination with multidisciplinary teams
Participation in call coverage as needed

Patient Population
Stroke Rehabilitation
Orthopedic Rehabilitation
General Rehabilitation
Traumatic and Non-Traumatic Injury Recovery
Pain Management Patients
Volume
Approximately 13–15 patients per day
Preferred Procedures

Providers with experience in the following are preferred:

Joint Injections
Spasticity Management
Botox Injections
Intrathecal Baclofen Pump Management

EMG/NCS testing is not required.

Requirements
Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician
Active California Medical License
Active DEA Registration
Current AHA BLS Certification
Minimum of 2 years of inpatient PM&R experience
Ideal Candidate
Experienced inpatient rehabilitation physician
Comfortable managing admissions, rounding, and discharges
Experienced with general PM&R patient populations
Able to provide occasional night call coverage
Available for the required July coverage blocks
Credentialing
Expedited credentialing may be available for qualified candidates
Typical credentialing timeframe is approximately 45 days"
