Practice Details

• Approximately 35–40 births per month


• Hospital maintains deliveries at 35+ weeks gestation


• Emergency Department consults


• Nursery rounding responsibilities


• Family Birth Center with dedicated operating room for C-sections


• Broad-spectrum rural obstetrics practice

Clinical Responsibilities

• Labor and delivery coverage


• Cesarean sections


• Emergency obstetric care


• OB/GYN call coverage


• Emergency Department consultations


• Nursery rounding


• Inpatient obstetric management

Support Staff & Resources

• Anesthesia coverage available 24/7


• Pediatric coverage available 24/7


• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7

Requirements

• Board Certified OB/GYN


• Active North Carolina Medical License


• Active North Carolina DEA Registration


• Comfortable managing obstetric emergencies and C-sections


• Hospital call experience preferred
