Schedule

• Monday–Friday


• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM


• Daily hospital rounds and consults during assigned weeks


• Weekend rounds/consults on assigned weekends


• Approximately 4 hours onsite per weekend day


• Beeper call after hours


• Call Ratio: 1:2


• Possible travel to an outlying office two days per week


• No in-person return required after hours

Practice Details

• 12–15 patients per day


• Consulting service only


• No hospital admissions required


• Epic EMR


• Modern cancer care facility


• Nurse navigator program


• Multiple tumor boards


• Radiation oncology nearby


• 16-chair infusion center


• 6 infusion RNs


• 3 RNs

Clinical Responsibilities

• Outpatient hematology/oncology care


• Inpatient consults and rounding


• Treatment planning and follow-up


• Review of critical values and urgent patient matters


• Oversight of APPs


• Multidisciplinary cancer care collaboration

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology


• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC


• BLS required


• Fellowship training preferred


• Hospital privileges required


• Comfortable with outpatient oncology, inpatient consults, and APP oversight

Credentialing

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 14 days


• Temporary privileges available
