Our client in Montana is actively seeking a dedicated Forensic Psychiatrist for a 48-day locum tenens assignment, commencing Sep 7, 2026. This full-time, Monday-Friday role involves providing expert medication management for long-term stabilized patients with complex psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, along with preparing crucial status reports for judges.
Responsibilities and Duties - Provide expert medication management for long-term stabilized patients, often on multiple psychotic medications.
- Manage cases involving the most critically ill patients in the state.
- Prepare and write status reports for judges, specifically for court purposes.
- Care for patients with extended stays, typically 3+ months, sometimes up to a year.
- Address a diverse range of psychiatric conditions, including general psychiatry, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and a high percentage of personality disorders.
Additional Information - Board Certification in Forensic Psychiatry required.
