Description
We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist for a 60-day assignment in Montana, starting Aug 10, 2026. The role involves managing patient appointments ranging from 15-45 minutes on a consistent Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties - Manage appointment lengths of 15-45 minutes, varying by age and case complexity.
- Provide comprehensive primary eye care for patients from infant to elder.
- Address urgent eye issues requiring medical and therapeutic management, including traumas, post-operative care, glaucoma, macular degeneration, uveitis, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Perform procedures such as lash epilation, punctual dilation and irrigation, corneal and conjunctival foreign body removals, and application of bandage contact lenses and pressure patches.
- Utilize onsite equipment, including a phoropter, slit lamp, eye chart, and exam chair.
- Operate independently as no ophthalmology support is available onsite; the nearest ophthalmologist is over 100 miles away.
