Locum Tenens Endocrinology Opportunity Near Pacifica, CA

This position is ideal for a board-certified endocrinologist seeking to provide high-quality care in a clinic setting with the flexibility of part-time hours.

Position Overview:

• Location: Near Pacifica, CA


• Start Date: ASAP (as soon as credentialed)


• End Date: Ongoing (initial assignment through January 2025, possibly extended through April 2025)


• Shift Type: Days


• Schedule: 3 days per week, 8 AM - 5 PM (flexible on which days)


• Call Coverage: Light call coverage with typically 1-5 calls per month, primarily for existing patients

Assignment Details:

• Setting: Clinic-based with some after-hours call coverage for current patients


• FTE: 0.6 (Part-Time)


• Support Staff: Medical Assistant (MA), Medical Office Receptionist (MOR), Supervisor, Manager, Director


• Patients per Day: 13-15

  • Direct patient care for both follow-ups and new patients
  
  
  • Visit documentation, message management, and prescription refills
  
  
  • Performing thyroid biopsies (required)
  
  
  
  


• Required Procedures: Thyroid Ultrasound (performed at the provider’s discretion)


• EMR System: Cerner

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Endocrinology.


• Certifications: BLS certification required.


• State License: Must hold an active California state license.


• Privileges: Emergency/temporary privileges are not available for this position.
