Schedule

• 24-hour call coverage with rounding


• Typical coverage blocks begin Friday at 5:00 PM and conclude the following Friday


• 30-minute response time requirement


• Ongoing monthly coverage opportunities

• Inpatient consultative and procedural coverage


• Outpatient endoscopy responsibilities


• Epic EMR


• Established Gastroenterology program within a growing health system

Clinical Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding and consultations


• Endoscopic procedures


• Weekend and after-hours call coverage


• Coordination of GI care across inpatient and outpatient settings


• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Procedures

• Screening Colonoscopy


• Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)


• ERCP (if performed by provider)


• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) (if performed by provider)

Patient Volume

• Weekdays: Morning rounding followed by approximately 4–6 outpatient procedures


• Weekend call coverage with rounding as needed

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology


• Active Pennsylvania license


• DEA registration


• ACLS certification


• BLS certification


• Case logs required


• References required


• COVID vaccination required
