Jasper Mountain SAFE Center seeks an energetic Children's Mental Health Therapist, either licensed or eager to work toward professional licensure and build a base of experience in doing in-depth assessments and short-term treatment and long-term treatment for children in our community who are experiencing family instability, possibly child abuse, foster care, inability to maintain in current placement. Licensing supervision for all types of professional licensure is available as part of employment. The agency is currently looking for a full time Children's Mental Health Therapist to provide treatment services and case coordination, serving a range of intensive and complex cases from residential treatment to outpatient family support. Jasper Mountain SAFE Center serves young children (ages 4-13) and their families. SAFE is an acronym that stands for Stabilization, Assessment & Family Evaluation.  

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the clinical assessment and short-term treatment of assigned children in agency programs.
Individual, group and family therapy services to the children and their families including responsiveness to clients’ unique cultural or socioeconomic characteristics.
Writing and implementing of the child's treatment plan and all other clinical documentation.
Case Management duties to include preparing for and attending monthly clinical team meetings, giving child updates to the program psychiatrist, communication with program staff as needed about child client, and providing updates to child and family team members outside of the team meeting as needed.
Transition planning with child and family team including co-creating a discharge plan that addresses the child's ongoing therapy, psychiatric, school and crisis management needs.
Other duties as assigned that may be of a treatment, administrative or supervision nature.

Hours: Full time position. Schedule flexible but intended to meet the needs of the agency's clients.

Compensation: Salary depends upon education, licensure and previous years of experience in the field. Range for licensed level position is $53,809.60/year - $67,204.80/year. Benefit package to include 100% employer paid health insurance for employee, dental, vision, Aflac, 403b, and generous paid time off. As needed, clinical supervision toward licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPC) is provided as part of employment package.

Skills

Position Qualifications: A master's degree or doctorate in psychology or social work and professional licensure or active intention to pursue licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPC). Experience and training in child abuse and child development, and training and experience in therapy with children and families preferred. Two years of experience in a social service agency preferred.
