Seeking a Skilled and Experienced Cardiovascular Surgery PA for Locum Tenens Role

We are searching for a qualified Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team and provide vital support in a growing community near Ashton, ID.

This temporary position offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and can last up to six months.

Responsibilities:

• Function as a First Assistant in the operating room (OR) for a variety of cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries.


• Assist surgeons with patient care, including harvesting veins for procedures.


• Collaborate with a team of nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


• Participate in scheduled OR cases and inpatient rounding, including weekends.


• Contribute to call coverage, with up to two weeks per month dedicated to supporting the cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery programs.


• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Meditech electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant (PA) with a specialty in Cardiovascular Surgery is preferred.


• We are open to considering highly qualified candidates who require licensure in the state of Idaho (ID) but are actively working towards obtaining it.


• Experience working in a fast-paced surgical environment is a plus.


• Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and technical abilities.


• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with a team and patients in stressful situations.
