Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician (Near Smiley, TX)

Are you a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a thriving community near Smiley, TX? We're looking for a skilled and experienced physician to join our collegial team and provide high-quality care in a dynamic environment. This locum tenens position offers top-tier compensation, a diverse case mix, and the chance to work alongside a seasoned medical director (ASAP - Ongoing).

• Diverse Patient Care: Experience a stimulating case mix with approximately 15-18 patients daily.


• 24/7 Physician Coverage & Supportive Team: Our Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with physician coverage around the clock. Collaborate with a dedicated team, including Advanced Practice Providers who provide 12 hours of daily support.


• Advanced Technology & Efficient Systems: Utilize the user-friendly Meditech EMR system to streamline patient documentation. Our state-of-the-art facility features 7 well-equipped exam rooms, on-site laboratory services, and advanced imaging capabilities (CT, X-ray, Ultrasound) for efficient diagnosis and treatment.


• Flexible Scheduling: We offer flexible scheduling options with 12-hour shifts (7 am - 7 pm and 7 pm - 7 am).

Qualifications:

• Board-certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO) by ABEM or AOBEM required


• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients and families in stressful situations


• Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies


• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills


• Clean background check and no malpractice history
