Description/Other Details:

This is an elective/outpatient endoscopy coverage request, but the procedures will be performed in an inpatient OR setting.

No Anesthesia support; all cases are IVCS (Intravenous Conscious Sedation).

Conscious sedation privileges required.

Up to 15 cases scheduled each day/8-hour shift.

One room with two RNs (one providing sedation; one circulating).

Start time: 07:30.

Physician is responsible for communicating biopsy results for all procedures directly to the patient or routed through the designated clinic MA.

Must coordinate additional steps including referrals, follow-ups, and additional imaging as necessary.

EPIC training will be required.
