Part-time and/or weekend coverage (Friday-Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am)

Overview:

We are seeking a part-time and/or weekend locum General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for an ASAP start with ongoing coverage. The facility will accept either a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).

Schedule:

Friday - Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Approximately 3-7 Surgical Cases per day

Requirements:

Strong Surgical Background: Candidates must possess a strong laparoscopic, open, and robotics background.

Experience: 3+ years of surgical inpatient experience and robotics experience required.

Da Vinci Robotics Certification: Must be proficient in Da Vinci Robotics Si and Xi and CERTIFIED.

Local Candidates: Only local candidate mileage is reimbursed; candidates within driving distance are highly preferred.

Duties:

As a General Surgery NP/PA, your duties will include:

Conducting Pre-Op Physical Exams

Performing Suture Removal

Diagnosing and Treating Illnesses

Ordering and Interpreting Tests

Assisting in Surgeries

Writing Prescriptions

Coordinating Patient Care

Additional Details:

Supervising Physician: While not necessarily on-site, a supervising physician will be available at all times.

Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic

Operating Rooms: 14

General Surgeons: There are 8 general surgeons in the practice.

Patient Age Demographic: Patients are aged 16 and above.

Certification Requirements:

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

BLS (Basic Life Support)

NCCPA (for PAs)

RNFA and FNP (for NPs)

State License Requirements:

New York
