Opportunity Details:

Start Date: Commence your locum tenens assignment ASAP, ensuring coverage is ongoing.

Schedule: Work 1-2 weeks of Hospital OB Call each month and 4-8 days in the Clinic for General GYN patients. The schedule includes four 10-hour shifts in the clinic per week, and OB/pediatric on-call duties with a 1:4 hospital coverage ratio.

Inpatient and Outpatient Coverage: Provide comprehensive care with a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

Qualifications: Must be qualified to handle c-sections, and willing to perform OB procedures and minor family practice procedures.

Patient Load:
- Clinic: See approximately 15-17 patients a day.
- Hospital: Handle 0-1 hospital admission for clinic-based providers.

Types of Cases: Manage a variety of Family Practice and OB cases.

Deliveries: Conduct 10-15 deliveries per month, with around 40 c-sections per year.

Support Staff: Collaborate with a dedicated team, including a supervisor, MA, and clerks.

EMR: Utilize the Cerner electronic medical record system.

Reason for Need: This position is a replacement for an existing role.

Additional Information:

Patient Type: Female, all adult ages, pregnancies, well women, GYN problems.

Volume of Deliveries: 10-15 per month, with a slight increase anticipated.

Backup Situation: A General Surgeon on call can close c-sections.

Call Hours: 24-hour shifts for one week, with a post-call day off.

Backup for GYN Days: No, the focus is on Family Medicine patients in the clinic and OB call duties.

Call Arrangements: Call is from the hotel; no in-house call is required.

Patient Ratio: A maximum of 14 clinic patients per day.

Qualifications:

Board Certification: Required for Family Medicine with OB experience.

License: An active California license is mandatory.

Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and DEA certifications are required.

COVID Vaccination: Proof of COVID vaccination is mandatory.
