Description/Other Details

Genesis Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated and skilled OB Laborist and GYN physician to contribute to our dynamic healthcare team. The responsibilities include inpatient coverage, triage, monitoring labor progress, conducting deliveries, performing surgical interventions when necessary, and ensuring overall patient and baby well-being.

Position Details:

• 12-15 shifts per month


• Night Shift: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am


• 260 bed community hospital

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to obstetric emergencies and provide timely intervention during labor and delivery.


• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic examinations.


• Perform deliveries (vaginal and cesarean sections), provide immediate postpartum care, and handle urgent and emergent gynecology consults.


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.


• Participate in patient education regarding prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, and general women's health.


• Respond promptly to obstetric and gynecologic consultations, contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of an OBGYN residency program.


• Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.


• Ohio state medical license and privileges to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology.


• Proven experience in managing labor and delivery, including proficiency in both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.


• Proven excellence in gynecology care, including surgical interventions.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse healthcare team.
