What You’ll Do
- Provide advanced care to critically ill adult patients in the SICU/ICU setting
- Assist with ventilator management, intubation, extubation, and EKG competency exams
- Manage vasoactive drips, CVLs, arterial lines, EVD drains, and central lines
- Perform patient assessments, medication titrations, and specialized procedures (e.g., tube feedings, Foley management)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Charge RN, lab, RT, and hospitalist staff
- Float as needed to PCU or MedSurg units under protocol
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and patient care protocols
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in State
- 2+ years ICU experience, including neuro, cardiac, or surgical ICU
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Skills in ventilator and vasoactive drip management, and total care of critically ill patients
- Ability to pass EKG competency exam
Preferred:
- Experience with stroke care and neuro patient management
- Ability to assist with procedural tasks such as intubation and CVL placement
- Flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts

You'll work on a unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, supported by a team of charge nurses, CNAs, phlebotomists, and 24/7 RT and hospitalist services. The unit emphasizes collaborative, patient-centered care with modern technology and equipment including Meditech EMR, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing. Orientation includes NEO and two shifts of unit training to ensure your success.
