What You’ll Do
- Provide critical care to adult surgical and medical ICU patients, including cardiac and neuro cases
- Manage ventilators, assist with intubation and extubation procedures
- Monitor and manage CVLs, arterial lines, EVD drains, and other invasive devices
- Administer vasoactive medications, IV drips, and total care for critically ill patients
- Perform tube feedings via NGT or PEG, Foley catheter management, and blood draws
- Support patient stabilization during emergencies such as stroke, respiratory failure, and sepsis
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including charge nurses, CNAs, PICC, RT, and hospitalist teams
What You Need
Required:
- Active RN license in State
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience (adult medical and surgical ICU preferred)
- Ventilator management experience, including assist with intubation
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Preferred:
- Stroke care experience
- Experience with invasive procedures like CVL, art line, EVD management
- Ability to float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed
About the Assignment
Join a leading facility in City, State, that provides adult ICU care with a patient census averaging 16 per day. The unit features 20 beds specializing in adult surgical and medical critical care, including cardiac and neuro patients. You will work a rotating schedule that may include weekends and some holidays, with no on-call requirements. Orientation includes facility and unit-specific training, ensuring you are prepared to deliver excellent patient care from day one.
