Travel Registered Nurse - PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) - Day Shifts in City, State

- Shift Schedule: 4 days/week, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM (rotating shifts) as specified
- Duration: Ongoing temporary assignment with possibility of extension
- Hours/Week: 40 hours/week
- Employment Type: Travel / Contract RN
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (current/AHA)
- Experience: Prior PACU experience preferred, 2+ years recommended
Pay & Benefits:
- Pay Rate: $52.26/hour (plus applicable travel and stipends)

What You’ll Do:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, adjusting care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient recovery
- Document patient progress and interventions accurately in EMR (EPIC required)
- Educate patients and families about recovery process and discharge procedures
- Adhere to all safety standards and organizational policies
- Float within surgical services as needed to support unit staffing
- Respond effectively to emergencies and urgent patient needs during recovery
What You Need:
Required:
- Current RN license for New Mexico or a valid Compact state license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (current/AHA)
- 2+ years of PACU or relevant perioperative experience
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system
- Ability to work a 10-hour day shift, including weekends and on-call as specified
Preferred:
- Prior travel nurse experience
- Additional certifications or specialized training in perioperative care
