What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care on a dedicated telemetry unit, managing patients with cardiac conditions such as MI, CHF, arrhythmias, and PVD
- Monitor ECGs, administer medications, and respond to emergency situations swiftly
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver holistic care
- Educate patients and families about condition management and post-discharge care
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, including floating to different units as needed
- Maintain optimal nurse-to-patient ratios (generally 5:1, occasionally 6:1)
What You Need
Required
- RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
- BLS certification from AHA
- ACLS certification from AHA
- 1+ years of recent nursing experience in telemetry or similar setting
- Ability to work night shifts and complete 12-hour shifts
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency protocols
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
