Description
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 60-day assignment in Texas, commencing Oct 5, 2026. This role involves managing diverse emergency department operations, including day and night shifts, handling an average of 1.2 patients per hour, and overseeing patient admissions and transfers, with robust specialty backup available.
Responsibilities and Duties - Manage emergency department operations with an admission percentage of 6.9%.
- Maintain an average patient flow of 1.2 patients per hour.
- Oversee a transfer rate of 6.1%.
- Collaborate with robust specialty backup, including Hospitalist, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Cardiology without intervention, Orthopedics, and Podiatry.
Additional Information - Board Certifications required: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
- EMR system utilized: Meditech EHR.
- Shift hours: 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am.
