What You’ll Do
- Provide expert nursing care for neuro/stroke patients, vascular surgeries, back surgeries, and general ICU cases
- Manage and interpret dysrhythmias, ICP monitoring, continuous IV sedation, and ventilator management
- Administer CRRT, spinal drains, and bolts/ICP monitoring devices
- Float between ICU units (CCU, SCU, NCU) and to the ER to admit neuro or critical care patients as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely in compliance with facility protocols
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license
- Minimum 2 years ICU/Neuro experience
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIH, CPI (or willing to obtain CPI at the facility for $100)
- Experience with ICU procedures including ICP monitoring, ventilations, and arrhythmia management
Preferred:
- CC RN experience and neuro-care specialization
- Ability to float across multiple ICU units and ED
About the Assignment
This position involves working within a specialized neuro/ICU environment that treats stroke, vascular, and complex surgical patients. The RN will need to handle varied responsibilities, including neuro-specific procedures and critical care interventions, within a fast-paced, supportive setting.
